Occasioned by what was said by Mr. Tsipras during the TIF festivities, I wish to state the following:
“In Thessaloniki Mr. Tsipras said, inter alia, that even though the debt adjustment is an important issue, it is important, in order to turn the page, to solve the country’s production problem. He stated that the exit from the crisis depends on us and not on others, and in order to do this we must first change ourselves. And that one of our most powerful weapons in our quest to become, at last, a normal country, is the European acquis.
I wonder: does he understand what he says or does he simply reproduce views of others? Because if he understood, then he ought to take initiatives that will lead to drastic changes in the policies he pursues. But this, unfortunately, is something that he neither does nor does he appear to intend to do.”
